The Salento Peninsula is the southernmost portion of Apulia and it forms a high heel on the “boot” of Italy. Salento is one of the most modern tourist destinations, it’s a beautiful land with its beaches, coasts, the clear and blue sea, the natural and artistic heritage, original traditions, sounds, the typical dance called “pizzica”, the people hospitality, the simple richness of the gastronomy and the strength of its wines.
New generations are really working well, improving the tourism industry with a professional approach and creating a match with all the other Italian regions and other countries.

Among the most important destinations, Porto Cesareo, Porto Selvaggio, Gallipoli, Otranto and Lecce are considered the preferred destinations of most of tourists.

Gallipoli offers a crystal clear sea and stretches of low coast with long beaches of white sand; the baroque art is demonstrated by the presence of numerous civic and religious buildings; the long and strong traditions live in the local gastronomy and a series of discos and restaurants are contributing to do Gallipoli one of the most famous tourist Italian city.

Otranto, the ancient “Porta d’Oriente”, is located in the most Eastern point of Italy and its historic center has been defined the most beautiful ancient village of Italy.

And Lecce, with its baroque churches and its elegance, is the first destination for the tourist who comes to visit Salento.
